PRIVATE RESIDENCE

CAMPBELL HALL, NY

This home employs sustainable principles of design and construction to create a world-class, contemporary building. The whole structure of the house is designed to be built with sustainably sourced, prefabricated timber components, proving that renewable material construction can offer a beautiful, compelling design. All materials used in the design are natural, creating a warm, homely environment. A large portions of the glass facade is facing south to benefit from solar radiation during the cold, winter months, ensuring minimum requirements for additional heating. To help the summer heat stay out of the living spaces, a deep canopy is used on the south side, which ensures no direct sunlight is admitted during the warm months of the year. The building is one with nature, inviting greenery through the transparent walls and welcoming plant life and sky inside the home through a central courtyard.
